In 2022, after building my first parts guitar and brushing up on the soldering skills I gained at science camp in middle school, I decided to get into effects pedal building. This started with a couple simple overdrive pedal kits and soon enough I started getting a feel for the circuits. After a few more builds I decided I wanted to pair up a couple of my favorite circuits into a dual overdrive/boost that would nicely fit my style of playing. The Nightingale dual overdrive is based around the TS10 Overdrive and Keeley Katana Clean Boost circuits with a few key tweaks to add versatility and bring out a whole range of tones. This project is a work in progress, but I've hand built a few prototypes so far, tweaking each time, and have landed on a final design. Hoping to offer these for sale soon.
